Twitter is Now Called as x.com – It has replaced its iconic bird logo with the letter ‘X’ as its official logo. The move follows Elon Musk’s announcement over the weekend. The website has already been updated. According to Musk, x.com will now redirect to twitter.com as well. Musk also described this logo as “interim,” so it may change again.

Twitter’s grand plan – beyond just a “town square” for posts and messages – is starting to take shape, according to Elon Musk. X is a super app that fits that shape.

It was announced on July 23 that Twitter would lose its signature blue bird logo and, ultimately, the name “Twitter” as it rebrands as “X.” Musk hopes the move will fulfill his super app vision. The bird had indeed disappeared by Monday morning.

It was replaced by a new logo, embedded and tweeted from Musk’s account, which appears to arise from a user’s suggestion. There is no custom design for the X. Rather, it is a slightly modified Unicode character, which used to be worth $44 billion but is now likely only worth $15 billion.

Twitter’s newly appointed CEO, Linda Yaccarino, tweeted that “X” will “transform the global town square.”

According to her, X defines the future of unlimited interaction based on audio, video, messaging, payments, and banking. A global marketplace for ideas, goods, services, and opportunities will be created. AI-powered X will connect us all in ways we can only imagine.”

During the weekend, Musk polled Twitter’s followers for rebrand ideas, writing, “And soon we will bid farewell to Twitter and all the birds.”

Twitter was purchased by the tech mogul for $44 billion last year and has since undergone a number of widely criticized changes. The company’s ranks were purged, Twitter’s verification system was overhauled, and users were limited to viewing a certain number of daily posts.

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, has also challenged him to a fight as their online feud continues. The fight is still being determined when and if it will take place.
